This is my first blog and its very long. So plz dont complain about it.
Well it all got started with my friendship growing stronger with Anand,Sanket and Omkar. We all had a plan of going out on a trip during vacations and it was only Anand who was serious about it. I still have a hazy rememberence of that day on EI's exam,Anand met me and Omkar and told the entire plan of going on trecking for 4 days. I was like, what the hell is going on,EI's exams were pressurizing my head and this guy was discussing about trip. I thought this guy was mad and told him that we will discuss it after the exams. On the final day, the 4 of us(I,Anand,Omkar and Patro)were finalizing on what all to bring and who will be surely coming to the trip. I asked the plan once again. It was like going on a treck for 70km long. I thought that for a guy like me who hardly walks 1 or 2km a day and who has not gone on a treck before,it was a herculean task. The lucky day was 15 and I went with Sanket to bring the bag. Really sorry Omkar for not informing you. I,Anand,Omkar,Vicky,Patro,Sanket,Sagar,Vishal,Vivek and Ankit were coming on trip. Except Anand,Vinayak and Sagar,we all had decided to meet on Andheri station. But I was really disappointed when I was informed that Patro was not coming. I also wanted Pratap,Dobhal and Badri to be there but none were present due to some or the other reason. Anand met us at CST and going by the mood of everyone of us,I was like sure that this was going to be a holy hell of a trip. In the train also,we were singing songs and enjoying ourselves. In the back of my mind,it was like,Ihad the heaviest bag after Sanket and was doubtful whether I would be able to complete the trip or not. In the train, durint the night,Sanket came up with few interesting topics where Anand bestowed his knowledge upon us. In the morning,Sagar boarded the train from his village. We all reached Kolhapur from where we went to Bus depo to have a cup of tea. I still am confused why people have tea in such large quantities during a day. While having tea,Sanket almost fainted. Then he informed us that he was having back pain due to bag and had to take rest. On that point, I thought that Sanket was down and it was my turn next time. I kept saying in my mind that "I can do it" and eventually I did it. We all came up with a plan to let Sanket rest at Sagar's place. After having tea,we again went to Kolhapur station to see Sanket off. We met Vinayak there. From there we went to some temple (I personally have a problem of not remembering names of places). After the temple,we went to Akhada and we all practiced fighting over there. Over there I gave everybody a chance to beat me and it was like everyone pounced on me. At that point,I realised that I was going to be the common "BAKRA" and remained cautious during the entire trip. From there,we again went to some temple. After having done all the sightseeing,we had lunch at the back of the temple. The thing that grabbed my attention over there was the amount of silence in the air and purity of air. We continued our journey and left for some Palace where all the personal belongings of Shivaji Maharaj and his family members were kept. Then we hurried ourselves to Kolhapur station to leave for Sagar's place. In the train,in GENERAL compartment,I,Vicky and Vivek came across a hot chick. Man o man,she was hot and we couldnt stop ourselves from taking our eyes away from her. After getting down at Sagar's station,we all awaited bus for a long time but couldnt find one. In the end,we found a tempo which agreed to provide us lift till Sagar's house. It was my first experience in tempo and am sure that I am not going to forget it for a long time. As soon as we reached Sagar's place,I could sense the warm welcome that surrounded us by hus family members. We all had dinner and the food was excellent. Then we went to sleep. During the night,I slept only for 1 or 2hrs. In the morning, we all got ready to leave and the tea that was made by Sagar's mom was something which I cannot forget. From there we went to another temple after which we left for Panhala from where our actual trip had to start. Initially we were going down the mountain so I wasnt feeling much of a pain of the bag. Next we came nearby a village where Anand showed all of us what was there deep inside his heart. He had true love for the villagers, interacted with them so easily such that he was their own son and also took photographs with them. After the village,we walked upside the hill and that is where I started feeling the pain(a little bit). After reaching the top of mountain,it was like a dream come true for me. The cloud had covered the entire sky and the wind was flowing swiftly over the entire mountains. The plateau was flat for around 4 to 5km and I was like damn happy. I and Vicky had the lead, being followed by Sanket and Sagar and after them the remaining people. At that point I and Vicky decided to rest and we slept on ground and started to look towards sky. The clouds were as if I had seen them in my dreams and this was one of my most rememberable point of the entire trip. We again started walking and at 5pm we all took rest to have snacks. We were lucky that Ankit came on trip. He had his magic bag with himself which carried all of the things that could have been required by any of us. I and vicky waited a little longer and thought that we would cover up easily. But we realised that everyone had gone too ahead of us and we needed to run. We ran as if we were running for our life. Finally we met them at a temple where they had taken a break. After walking for an hour or so, we came around a pond on top of mountain. The scene was engrossing and so we decided to take a break for another 10 min. We reached village at around 7pm and took shelter in one of the school. We had dinner in one of the house and the food over there was tasteless. But I still managed to eat and had made a picture in my mind of what was going to come in the trip. In the morning,we had tea and again set out. We were off schedule by around 1 or 2hrs and decided to walk for 12 hours the second day. It was only Anand who made it possible for us to walk the second day. We walked till 1pm where we reached a village and decided to have lunch there. While returning from the village, the nature was terrific. I could literally hear the sound that was present in the silence of the wind. I could hear the birds chirping and the sound that was made by trees when breeze went around it. We kept on walking and walking until 5pm where we struck a jungle. I still dont know why I like jungle a lot. To me, this jungle was turning point of the entire trip. It got me excited and I started to lead. Everyone was tired after walking for 8-10hrs and it seemed as if new energy was inserted into everyones body. We crossed the jungle at around 7:45pm when darkness had spread around the entire sky. We were again off schedule by 1 or 2hrs and came to know that the next 6km were on Tar road. We took the brave decision of walking during the night and reached our destination till 9pm. We again took shelter in one of the school and had dinner in one of the house. The food was also of high quality as compared to previous foods. The second day was best during the entire trip. In the morning we had tea and breakfast and set off. We started to walk towards Pawankhind which was 6km long from our stay of night. We all took rest at a point from where Anand,Sanket,Ankit and Vishal left early and started walking in direction of Pawankhind and rest of us walked in some other direction. That was the point where we got split and it took around 2hrs to find each other. Pawankhind was also one of the natures beauty and we all enjoyed it. From there we decided to take a bus but once again couldnt find one and so started to walk. We reached a point where we all decided to take a shorcut instead of walking on the road. To me, it was like if I went through this chosen path then I will definately die. But once again, it was Anand who emerged as a leader and directed us properly to our goal. After walking down the hill,we all were tired and accidently found a jeep who agreed to provide us lift. He also allowed us to travel on top of the jeep. No sooner did he gave the permission then Vivek was on top of the jeep. I also enjoyed that time coz it was my first experience on top of jeep. As soon as we reached Vishalgad, we were informed that the last bus for our further trip was at 3pm and it was already 2:15pm. We hurried to the top of the hill and reached there around 2:35pm. We enjoyed the sight and also shooted a video over there. By then we realised that it was already late and started walking down the hill. Sanket took the worst decision of going down the hill on his own from a different path and to me, that path was even worse than the earlier path through which we went down the hill. We reached down the hill at 3:03pm and Sanket and Anand kept the bus waiting for us. We boarded the bus and left for Hurne beach where we decided to spent our last day. In the bus, someone informed us that it was senseless and dangerous going there and so we decided to stay at Chiplun. In the morning we headed towards the beach and enjoyed ourselves over there till 3pm.From there we went to Chiplun station to board the Jan Shatabdi express, but there was no availability. The train was scheduled to arrive at 6:10pm and leave at 6:12pm. We decided to bribe the tc and had only 2 minutes to do so. Luckily we found him and he agreed for Rs 150/individual. We decided to get down at Panvel and from there to Vadala from there to Andheri and from there to Bhayandar. I reached my house at 12:45 and was happy that it was a nice and happy journey.
